Mark Evans is appointed to the board of Chelmsford-based FMW Insurance Brokers. He joined the company in April 1998 and works for FARR, advising the housing sector on insurance and risk management. He was previously with Layton Blackham.

Mark Campbell is appointed the branch manager of Axa's Birmingham office.
He joined from CGU Insurance in Perth where he was the assistant director of operations and project manager on the integration team.His early career includes broker marketing manager for General Insurance. Campbell is the immediate past president of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Coventry, and lists rugby union, golf and football among his hobbies. He is a season ticket holder at Coventry FC.
Mario Aristides is appointed manager at Axa's Maidstone branch. He was previously working in the London market as Axa's principal account manager for London City and as London regional executive.
Halifax General Insurance
Halifax General Insurance makes a number of appointments. Simon Stevens is appointed head of underwriting, sales and marketing. He has been with the company since 1997 and was previously senior underwriting manager at Churchill. Josette Man is appointed head of sales development.
She has been with the company since 1999 and was previously a general insurance manager at the
Yorkshire Building Society.
Dr David Brown is appointed head of actuarial and management information. Before joining the Halifax in 1999, he was actuarial consultant at Tillinghast Towers Perrin. Jim Pittman is appointed senior manager, household customer services – technical. He was previously a home services director
at loss adjuster Cunningham Ellis & Buckle. Jerry White is appointed senior manager, business planning and development. He joined Halifax in 1979. Valery Duggleby is appointed senior manager, household customer services – operations. She joined Halifax in 1972.
NIG
Sylvia Kay is appointed development manager of claims operations at NIG.
She will be responsible for the development of the personal line's claims systems, liaising with IT teams and group companies. Kay has been in the industry for 22 years and was previously a claims development consultant at Iron Trades.
Chubb Custom Market
Janic Baudrihaye is appointed international development manager for Chubb Custom Market, Chubb's entertainment and leisure division. He was previously Europe manager for CCM.

Deb Southwick is appointed centre manager at Royal & SunAlliance small business service centre initiative, Enterprise, in Leeds.
Bollington Group
Paul Stagg is appointed motor trade underwriting manager at the Bollington Group. Further appointments include Juliet Thomas, Joanna Houghton and Alison Portlock to the motor trade support team, Ann-Marie Lashford to the corporate risks division and Lisa Hamson to financial services.
