Dr Luzi Hitz has left Swiss Re to join Glacier Reinsurance as senior property underwriter.
Hitz worked in various capacities at Swiss Re, including head of treaty underwriting for China, catastrophe risk manager and head of earthquake modelling.
Robbie Klaus, Glacier Re's chief executive and chief underwriting officer, said: “Luzi's expertise, particularly in the natural catastrophe arena and the Asia Pacific marketplace, is second to none. He will be a tremendous addition to our talented underwriting team and we are pleased to welcome him to Glacier Re.”
