AGM Insurance is the latest broker snapped up by consolidator.
Giles Insurance Brokers has continued its expansion into Wales with the completion of its fifth acquisition in as many months.
The latest acquisition, AGM Insurance, follows news last month of two acquisitions in the same week, those of Ton-Pentre-based Paul Murphy Insurance Services and Hancock General Insurance Services, based in Newport.
AGM Insurance was launched in 1984 and employs eight staff at its base in Taffs Well.
Mike Jones, manager for Giles in Wales, said: “South Wales is one of a number of key areas in which we are keen to grow our presence.
“We continue to source new opportunities in the area which will add to our expanding portfolio and position us as a major player in the local and regional insurance market.”
Martin Rees, managing director of AGM Insurance, added: “Having made the decision to join Giles, we are extremely positive about the future for everyone involved with AGM Insurance.
“As Giles continues to grow its reputation in South Wales, we look forward to being involved and to bringing a far wider range of products and services to clients old and new.”
