Giles Insurance Brokers has acquired another southern broker.
Battersea-based Archibald Reid has become the latest company to add its name to Giles' branch network, which now totals around 40, and follows the acquisition of Edinburgh-based Carrick Neill & Co earlier this month.
Archibald Reid is a specialist provider of insurance for high value households, property owner covers and commercial combined business policies.
Mark Addis, director at Giles Insurance, said: “Archibald Reid has a very healthy portfolio of clients, is well organised, professionally managed and the team will be a valued addition to the Giles group.
“This latest acquisition will play an extremely important role in helping us strengthen our position in the local and regional market. We remain on the lookout for other opportunities in London and the South East and are sure there will be more to come in the near future.”
Phillip Riesco, director of Archibald Reid, said: “We are an established independent broker and have enjoyed almost three decades of business in the area. We have established an enviable reputation and a healthy client book.
“Anybody in the insurance market will be fully aware of the benefits of linking with a market leader such as Giles, and we are looking forward to joining the company at this extremely exciting time.”
Fellow director Jonathan Biggs, added: “It is fair to say that no other high-profile broker is experiencing such a rapid period of growth and to get involved at this stage with Giles is a great opportunity for us, our existing employees and our customers.”
