Ex-XBS MD joins loss adjuster
Garwyn Group has appointed Artur Niemczewski as chief executive.
Previously Niemczewski was an insurance advisor. Before that he was managing director of Xchanging Broking Services (XBS). He left XBS in May after eight months in the role during a restructure of Xchanging’s UK insurance operations.
Niemczewski will start his new role on December 1.
Niemczewski said: “I am delighted to be joining the business at such an important time against the backdrop of an increasing focus by the government, insurers and industry bodies on combating the escalating compensation culture.”
He stressed that Garwyn would fight to help drive down rising claims costs.
Niemczewski will work alongside executive chairman Paul Woodley, and will be supported by chief operating officer Lesley Johnson, commercial director Nick Patterson and finance director Ian Chapman. He will also work with Peter Haran, managing director of Garwyn’s Irish arm.
Woodley said: “Having worked as insurer, insured and broker, Artur has an immediate grasp of the issues that are critical to our clients. He also brings an unrelenting focus on client service and delivering results.”
