Anthony Needham tasked with growing broker’s public sector and education practice
Arthur J Gallagher’s UK retail arm Gallagher Heath has hired former Aon executive Anthony Needham as sales director in its public sector and education practice.
Needham has spent the past five years as client manager in Aon’s public sector practice. He was responsible for local and central government clients in the south and south-east of England.
Before that he was regional public sector leader at Marsh.
In his new role at Gallagher Heath Needham is responsible for delivering against growth targets and creating opportunities across the public and education sector, while supporting the wider team’s continued growth.
Managing director of Gallagher’s public sector and education practice Tim Devine said: “Anthony’s extensive knowledge and expertise in the public sector and education markets – not to mention his proven track record at delivering against ambitious targets on a national basis – adds an extra dimension to our already excellent team.
“Having him on board consolidates our position as a leading provider of risk and insurance services to public sector and educational organisations across the UK.”
Needham added: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining such a dynamic business that is wholly dedicated to meeting the needs of its public sector and educational clients.
“This year will see us further deepen our commitment to this specialist market and capitalise on the many opportunities to expand and enhance our offering.”
