Gallagher appoints Lady Louise Patten as non-exec director

Arthur J Gallagher has appointed Lady Louise Patten as an independent non-executive director of its holding company, as well as non-executive chairman of its UK Retail entity Arthur J Gallagher Insurance Brokers Ltd.

Patten, who has a business career spanning 40 years, holds a number of advisory and non-executive roles in retail and financial services, as well as within corporate and investment banking.

She will also take the role as an independent non-executive director on both of Gallagher’s Risk Committee and Remuneration & Nominations Committee.

Gallagher International chief executive Grahame Chilton said: “Louise is not only hugely admired and universally respected as a driven, tenacious and committed independent non-executive director, but a passionate and enthusiastic enabler of business.
