William Dewsall has been appointed as executive chairman on interim basis
Unrated insurer Gable’s chairman Jost Pilgrim has resigned.
As a result chief executive William Dewsall has been appointed as executive chairman on an interim basis.
Pilgrim is the latest non-executive director to have resigned from the business.
Top lawyer Julian Connerty resigned from the board on 31 August 2016, while remuneration committee chairman Andrew Trott resigned at the beginning of August.
Gable stopped writing new business last month as part of its plan to achieve Solvency II compliance.
The company is aiming to transfer all of its UK business and the majority of its European business to rated insurers, while retaining a small book itself.
It is also considering offloading its historical book.
