Adjuster appointed to major fire loss at flagship eco-pub
A major loss team from GAB Robins has been appointed to deal with a multi-million pound fire loss at J D Wetherspoon's flagship 'green' pub restaurant, The Kettleby Cross in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire.
The fire broke out on 13th October while the pub was open. No one was injured.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, but the pub will be closed for a number of months.
The pub, opened in 2007, utilises energy saving technology such as rainwater harvesting, solar panels, sun pipes and photovoltaic tiles and generates power using a wind turbine on its roof.
