GAB Robins (GABR) has again been hit by two senior resignations, with UK customer services director Vic Noble defecting to rival Crawford & Co, and London Market managing director Trevor Cameron leaving the company.
But GABR has responded by poaching Mike Jones, Cunningham Lindsey's director of specialist insurance division. He will join GABR as chief operating officer.
A source said: "Vic and Trevor have been frustrated for some time at the micro-management taking place within the GABR operations.
"The UK storms have made all the adjusters books look healthy, but it is only a plaster over GABR's real financial issues. I think Mike Jones must have been offered a large amount of money to move."
Noble has been appointed to the role of national customer service manager for Crawford's UK property operations. He will report to Graeme Fitzpatrick, UK property operations manager, and be responsible for "championing service excellence across Crawford's customer service centres", the company said.
Crawford chief operating officer, UK & Ireland, Benedict Burke said: "Vic is a major industry figure, well-respected for his abilities and with an excellent track record of delivery in relation to client needs. His experience and dynamism will be a vital asset, both technically and operationally."
Cameron decided to leave the company after joining in January 2006. On his arrival, GABR said Cameron and his team would "emphasise its commitment to the London Market".
Kieran Rigby, GABR chief executive, said: "We are delighted to welcome somebody of Mike's calibre to GAB Robins."
