Regulator concerned that client premiums were not passed on to insurers
The Financial Services Authority has issued a consumer warning about Bridgewater House UK.
The regulator has advised customers of the Manchester-based firm to contact the insurance company with whom their policy is held to ensure that valid insurance cover is in place.
In addition, the FSA have strongly advised customers whose insurance premiums were previously being paid by Bridgewater House UK to ensure that payment for the insurance policy continues.
The FSA said it is concerned that life, critical illness or accident, sickness and unemployment insurance policies taken out through Bridgewater may lapse due to premiums not being passed to the insurer.
In such circumstances, the FSA is concerned that customers may not be aware that they may no longer have valid insurance cover in place.
Bridgewater House UK operates from offices at 1a Sandwich Street, Walkden, Worsley, Manchester, M28 3XN.
