The Faculty of Insurance Broking has appointed four new members to its advisory board to help its continuing expansion within the market.
Joining the Board is: Amanda Blanc (chief executive officer UK broking) Towergate Partnership,
Matt Donnelly (managing director) Griffiths & Armour, Stephen Lark (director) Lark Insurance Broking Group and Kevin Sinclair (managing director) AA Insurance Services.
Chairman of the Advisory Board David Slade commented: "This is a very exciting time for the Faculty and for the broking sector. Getting the support from these industry big hitters is a real boost and will help to ensure that the Faculty delivers exactly what the broking market needs."
The faculty helped launch The Broker Academy in February, a one stop training and competence online facility to boost brokers' professional development.
"Broker Academy is a partnership between us, BIBA and AXA" added Slade, "It's a great example of what we can achieve by working with the sector. With the move towards a principles-based regulatory approach from the FSA it's also essential that the Faculty guides the CII in establishing professional standards of practice for the broking sector. To do that effectively we need to be able to call on a wide range of expertise. A larger Board will enable us to do exactly that."
