Broker relationships credited as helping growth
Fortis UK continues to grow its premium income, driven by its expansion into commercial lines and life protection.
The insurer reported a nine-month increase in non-life gross written premium of 6.1% to £617.1m, from £581.9m for the same period last year.
Its third-quarter results increased 5.5% compared with second-quarter results of £215.5m.
Chief executive Barry Smith said market conditions were “challenging”, but its broker relationships and multi-channel distribution had helped the company to grow.
