Five year deal move to strengthen multi-distribution strategy
Fortis has announced it has become the fourth member of Uinsure’s home insurance panel.
The insurer has signed a five-year deal with the general insurance intermediary, which provides household insurance for brokers and IFAs.
Commenting on the deal, Simon Taylor, Executive Chairman of Uinsure said: "We have been working to refine our offering by incorporating feedback from intermediaries as to what they want and need from a general insurance supplier.
"We were keen to bring to the table companies with well known brands and expertise in the intermediary channel; Fortis was head and shoulders above anyone else that we spoke to and are pleased they will be joining our home insurance panel."
Jonathan Dixon, Business Manager at Fortis added: “Fortis is committed to offering a wide range of propositions to meet our partners’ and their customers’ needs.
"The collaboration with Uinsure further extends our general insurance distribution strategy into the intermediary market, specifically increasing our presence within the IFA channel. No matter what the scale of business, we work hard to ensure all our intermediaries are treated with the same high level of service that the market has come to expect.
"With only a small panel of insurers working with Uinsure, IFAs and Mortgage brokers will benefit from a truly focused service."
Fortis provides insurance cover to 1.1 million UK household customers sold through the intermediary market. Uinsure was founded in June.
