Fortis has appointed Helen Pickford as finance director
Fortis has appointed Helen Pickford as finance director.
The company said that as a member of the Fortis Insurance Board, Helen will be responsible for all aspects of finance and as a key member of the Fortis senior management team influence the development and delivery of the Fortis Insurance strategy.
She will work closely with chief financial officer, Julian Harvey.
Pickford brings with her a wealth of experience spanning almost 15 years in the insurance industry. She joins from Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance Group where she was finance director responsible for the UK retail & affinity businesses, working as a member of the executive team on all business aspects.
Prior to this she was group head of investor relations, managing significant improvement in both the groups’ reputation and share price increase during this period.

I am looking forward to joining such a dedicated team and am keen to further develop strategic projects to maintain the high standards already achieved whilst supporting the management committee on all financial matters.”
