Sergey Chernyshov was found at his home by Ukrainian police
A former director of collapsed Gibraltar insurer Lemma Europe Insurance has been found murdered, the Gibraltar Chronicle reports.
The body of Sergey Chernyshov was found at his home by Ukrainian police on 1 February.
Chernyshov was president of Lemma Europe’s parent company Lemma Ukraine, but was ordered by the Gibraltarian regulator, the Financial Services Commission, to cease to be a shareholder and controller of the company in March 2014.
The regulator said he abused his conflicting position by protecting and advancing the interests of Lemma Ukraine at the expense of Lemma Europe to which he owed a fiduciary responsibility as a director of the company.
