Motor industry veteran to head up the two branches of Allianz Partners from 1 September, having left as a director in 2004
Allianz Partners in the UK and Ireland are appointing respected industry figure, Tim Tozer, as their new chief executive.
The appointment marks a return for Tozer, who was a director at Allianz Partners UK and Ireland (then Mondial Assistance) between 2002 and 2004.
Most recently, Tozer was group operations director at Vertu Motors PLC, the large UK motor retailer, a post he held from March 2016. Prior to that, he was chairman and managing director of Vauxhall Motors Ltd & chief executive of Opel Ireland for General Motors, and president of Mitsubishi Motors Europe.
Joining on 1 September, Tozer will bring his expertise in leading multi-million-pound businesses on an international scale and structure to both businesses, Allianz believes.
Ida Luka-Lognoné, member of the Allianz Partners board, responsible for its Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa regions said: “As a proven, successful business leader, Tim will bring additional credibility and focus to the existing strong and ambitious management teams driving our successful UK and Ireland operations.
“This is an exciting time for Tim to be returning. Not only have both markets continued to grow their portfolio of extremely successful products and services spanning roadside assistance, warranty, travel insurance and international medical assistance, they have built a wider portfolio of customer care and retention services that exploit Allianz Partners’ global digital capabilities.
”We look forward to welcoming Tim as Allianz Partners UK and Allianz Partners Ireland continue to develop and deliver innovative, value-adding product and service solutions for the assistance and insurance markets.”
