Windsor-based commercial and property insurer FM Insurance Company has been awarded a Queen’s Award for Enterprise in recognition of its achievements in international trade.

The company, which trades as FM Global, is the first property insurer to achieve the award.

FM Global said its international earnings have trebled over the past three years, with the largest growing markets, excluding the UK, being France, Germany, Benelux, Scandinavia and Australia.

The company said it provides insurance and risk management services in more than 100 countries.

FM Global managing director Ken Davey, said: “We are delighted to receive this great honour and for our business performance to be recognised with such a prestigious award.

“It is a tribute to the hard work and dedication of our employees who are our biggest asset and continuously aim to serve our clients well.
