Move to drive mid-corporate business in the south
Marsh has appointed Adrian Willmott as sales leader for its national business in the south of England.
Based in Marsh’s Reading office, Willmott will develop the firm’s new business strategy and drive growth programmes in the zone. In addition, he will provide support and guidance to the 16-strong team of sales professionals in the area.
Willmott joins Marsh from Willis, where he was regional development director for the central region. At Willis, he was responsible for driving growth among middle market businesses in the region. Mr Willmott has worked in the risk and insurance industry for over 20 years and has also been previously employed by Jardine Lloyd Thomson.
Commenting on the appointment, Julie Page, southern zone leader for Marsh’s national business, said: “Building our presence and market share in the UK mid-corporate space is a key objective for Marsh’s national business. By providing a local service, supported by our global resource, our clients benefit from the experience and depth of knowledge from across the entire firm.
“Adrian has an exemplary track record in sales, as well as exceptional skills in building, developing and managing teams. He is a powerful asset to Marsh’s business and clients alike in the south.”
