A team of ex-Independent Insurance staff thrashed 11 teams to win the annual Brokers and Insurers in the Birmingham Area 5-a-side football tournament last Thursday.
The tournament is organised by Reed Insurance Selection and the Birmingham Insurance Institute Young Members. The competition was fiercly contested by 12 teams but was finally won by the aptly named 'ex-inde' team made up of former employees of Independent's Birmingham office.
The prize was to lift the Peter White Trophy in memory of the late Peter White, who was a member of the Wolverhampton Insurance Institute.
