Authorised representatives Liability and General to focus on construction clients
Liability and General Insurance Brokers have joined James Hallam as authorised representatives under its partnership programme.
Former Oval client executive Dave Mangan and ex-Giles account executive Rob Allinson will be based in Ipswich, focusing on local commercial clients, specifically in the construction and SME sector.
Mangan said: “Setting up a new business was a massive step for us and we needed to partner a broker that provided the right cultural fit and excellent relationships with our key insurer markets.
“We want to be rewarded for our efforts and to be in control of our future. The consolidation of the market is causing a lot of uncertainty for broking staff and clients and we can now speak to our clients with confidence regarding the future.”
Under the arrangement, Liability and General retain 100% control over their clients while splitting the income with James Hallam, who will assist with access to agencies, as well as marketing and claims support.
James Hallam managing director Paul Anscombe said: “We are delighted to welcome Dave and Rob on board and wish them every success.
“Our partnership structure is working really well and gives opportunities to individuals and small businesses to build value through providing niche and/or local service while having the support and infrastructure of James Hallam behind them.
“We are seeking a limited number of professional brokers to take up partnership relationships with us and build a close working relationship with for the benefit of both parties and the clients.”
