Company on target for £25m GWP following multiple deal signings
Former AA managing director Kevin Sinclair has left his role at online SME comparative quote facility Iprism.
Sinclair joined Iprism in January 2008 as managing diretor. He quit as the head of the AA’s insurance division following the company’s £6bn merger with Saga in 2007.
The news comes as Iprism announced it has signed strategic partnerships with a range of brokers and distribution partners to secure at least £10m GWP of additional business transacted via its portal - putting it on target to secure £25m GWP in 2010.
The deals also marks the completion of iprism’s distribution platform. It has recently added Zurich and Fortis to its panel, increasing the number of supporting insurers to 14.
A statement said: "Managing director Kevin Sinclair has been instrumental in the development of products and operations of the business during this key phase for iprism. As this fundamental stage of development is now complete, he has decided to step down to pursue a number of other interests."
Gary Burke, chief executive of iprism said: “When we set out nearly two years ago we intended to build on what was, from the start, the fastest and most comprehensive SME comparative quote facility for UK brokers. The expansion of the product portfolio and increase in the number of insurers has since then been developed at every step in close consultation with brokers. We have also enhanced our in-house underwriting authority so that brokers can interact and trade with us in order to secure the best terms for their clients. As such we will also be able to offer brokers online capability for commercial combined business from June.
“We are obviously delighted to reach this stage having maintained the overriding ethos of providing access to the products brokers want with the fast but excellent service they desire.”
