Insurance Times Awards 2022: RPC’s Female Insurance Group brings ‘topical issues’ to ‘the forefront of discussion’

Explain briefly about your entry in the Diversity and Inclusion Excellence Award category.

Launched in 2013, Female Insurance Group (FIG) is an organisation established by RPC to provide women within the insurance industry with a platform to network, learn and thrive - it now has over 1,000 members.

In April 2020, we introduced our Boardroom Ready programme to equip future female leaders across the insurance market with the skills and confidence they need not only to flourish, but also to progress in the workplace and beyond.

What do you think makes your entry stand out or different from your competition?

Since its inception, the programme has successfully run 16 events, with over 850 attendees from the insurance industry and RPC teams.

Our members have reported a significant increase in their confidence and directly applicable skills when seeking new roles and promotion as a result of attending the events and participating in the programme.

The programme has been widely applauded for bringing topical issues affecting people across the industry to the forefront of discussion.

What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?

Winning this award would highlight the great work the FIG group has done to support and uplift its members in the insurance industry over the last nine years.
