RPC’s Toby Higginson, partner, and Sarah Armstrong, head of legal for claims handling, tell Insurance Times why they think their firm should be named Legal Claims Partner of the Year at the 2022 Insurance Times Awards
Explain briefly about your entry in the Legal Claims Partner of the Year category.
RPC’s market-leading claims handling team is dedicated to providing a first class service to its clients.
The claims handling team works seamlessly from its Bristol office to provide a comprehensive, full service offering, with exceptional care and customer service throughout.
Our objectives for this initiative were to reduce settlement times for claims, reduce claims and control legal spend for insureds, as well as reduce the risk to insurers outsourcing to third parties.
Our new processes and one-stop-shop approach enable us to provide clients with in-depth trends analysis by reviewing developments in claims and reporting back.
Our objectives were achieved - we saved our clients’ money, paid out on fewer claims, achieved quick settlements, reduced panel appointments and successfully mediated over litigation.
What do you think makes your entry stand out or different from your competition?
Our initiative provides a cradle to grave service that is unrivalled by most of our competitors, which outsource to other providers - this can cause delays, increase costs or see more matters unnecessarily being taken to dispute resolution.
What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
RPC would be overjoyed to win this award, as this would rightly acknowledge the team’s hard work, which has led to the successes we share with our clients.
