Alun McGeohegan, head of trading at Broker Insights, explains to Insurance Times why he believes his firm should win the Business Partner of the Year – Technology Supplier category at the 2022 Insurance Times Awards
Explain briefly about your entry in the Business Partner of the Year – Technology Supplier category
Broker Insights connects regional brokers with leading insurers, via data.
In the years following launch in 2018, it became apparent that the platform could also help larger brokers manage complex books of business across multiple offices and new acquisitions.
In 2021, Broker Insights launched Market Management. The proposition is an extension of Broker Insights’ core platform technology, designed to help larger brokers consolidate and better utilise complex data across multiple offices.
Market Management also provides an ‘enterprise level’ digital placement facility, enhanced management information and an effective channel of engagement with preferred insurers.
What do you think makes your entry stand out from your competition?
Clear Insurance Management was the first large broker to adopt Market Management. Working collaboratively, Clear and Broker Insights refined the proposition to meet the requirements of the larger broker and gain a consolidated view of their entire book, across fourteen offices.
Following launch, Clear has successfully used Market Management to inform their placement strategy, engage efficiently with strategic insurer partners and place more business with preferred markets.
What would winning this award mean to you and your firm?
Winning this award would be testament to the power of partnership, when organisations come together to deliver a common goal. We would just have to work out how Broker Insights and Clear can share the trophy!
