ERS hires new head of PI claims from QBE

ERS has appointed Donna Willis as new heard of personal injury claims.

Willis will be responsible for ERS’ personal injury claims strategy, and performance management.

She will oversee specialist teams in Brentwood, Essex, and report to claims director Peter Smith. She will also have wider influence on ERS’ claims strategy and business agenda.

Most recently, Willis was head of casualty claims at QBE European Operations where she was responsible for £900m in claims reserves and a team of 110 people across several locations.

Before QBE, she spent 15 years with AXA in various claims roles.

Smith said: “Our performance in personal injury is key to ERS’ business results and with Donna’s arrival we are well placed to continue taking advantage of legal reforms and defending ERS against the behaviours of claim management companies while indemnifying genuine innocent claimants in a timely manner.”
