Insurance group snaps up Abbs & Warren Insurance Brokers.
Equity Insurance Group has expanded its presence in East Anglia through the acquisition of Ramsey-based Abbs & Warren Insurance Brokers.
The broker was founded in 1998 by partners Malcolm Abbs and David Warren. Abbs and Warren, along with all existing employees, will continue administering personal lines and commercial clients.
Mike Hutton, Equity's acquisition director said: "Abbs & Warren is another successful business fitting the group's acquisition criteria. It's a well-established, strategically located brokerage in a region where we continue to seek similar opportunities."
The announcement comes days after Equity's acquisition of West Midlands broker Bryan & Knott, which was also bought for an undisclosed sum. The latest acquisition brings Equity's stable of branches to 91 across the UK.
