Endurance names new claims director and claims leader in its...
Endurance has further strengthened its claims proposition with the promotion of Alan Barlow to senior vice president, claims director, and the recruitment of Margaret Sawyer to the position of UK claims leader of the UK & international direct property business.
Barlow joined Endurance in 2004 with more than 25 years of international claims experience in a lead claims office environment. He has been responsible for building and leading claims teams and has held a number of senior claims positions in the London market.
Sawyer brings to Endurance 17 years of experience in claims, having come from Royal & SunAlliance's commerical technical claims unit where she dealt with a variety of large clients. Sawyer will report to Barlow and will work with him to facilitate the continuation of Endurance's hands-on approach to claims management.
Barlow said: “We're delighted to welcome Margaret to the team. Endurance is rare in employing a tri-partite approach to our clients whereby claims, risk management and underwriting work hand-in-hand to provide policyholders with optimum service. Margaret's experience, technical excellence, and strong track record in client relationships leave us in no doubt that she will be pivotal in maintaining our reputation as second-to-none in the realm of client service.”
Jon Houghton, head of UK individual risk property insurance, added: “Endurance is steadily emerging as a modern day success story, building a track record of financial strength and high quality service, and nowhere is this better illustrated than in our UK property team who in a short period of time have established strong relationships and a reputation for excellent service with brokers and clients.”
