Elite has announced Mike Payne as general manager of the London office, Deborah Ranger as business development manager, alongside the hires of underwriters Daniel Green and David Quinn.
Payne has enjoyed a successful 15 year career in the insurance industry to date, working for some of the industry's largest and most respected firms.
He began his career in marine and transport insurance before moving into the legal expenses insurance market.
He will be looking to develop Elite's After-The-Event (ATE) insurance business whilst continuing the growth of the company's general insurance lines and ensuring the Company is well placed to deal with the challenges of Lord Jackson’s industry reforms.
Joining Payne as part of the London team, is Deborah Ranger, who joins Elite’s business development manager.
Ranger has a business development background and will be responsible for developing Elite’s existing and new client relationships.
Daniel Green, who joins Elite as an underwriter, will be handling the delegated authority account, whilst David Quinn will initially assist in ATE insurance cases before moving onto before-the-event (BTE) underwriting once Elite’s BTE products are finalised.
Elite is a niche insurer licensed to underwrite insurance for legal expenses, miscellaneous financial loss, general liability, suretyship, and other tranches within the insurance sector.
The company underwrites for many jurisdictions including the UK, France, Italy, Spain, Germany and Ireland.
Chief executive Jason Smart said: “I am very pleased to welcome Mike, Deborah, Daniel and David on board.
“Their skills and experience will be significant additions to the business as we focus on growth going forward.”
