Edgar Hamilton's (EH) battle with Highway has been temporarily resolved in the High Court. In a compromise move, the guaranteeing broker has won two month's breathing space to reorganise its affairs. Highway has agreed to wait until March 1 before encouraging brokers to switch to either Holman or HSBC. The dispute has been referred to arbitration and until that is settled, Highway will not encourage any Lloyd's brokers to direct deal with them. Nor will it provide Holman or HSBC with any broker details.
