Insurance software provider will snap up UK affiliate
Duck Creek Technologies, a provider of software and services for the insurance industry, is to acquire its London-based affiliate.
This acquisition would include acquiring the voting shares of all other outside investors in Duck Creek Technologies Europe over the next two years, subject to approval by the boards of directors and shareholders of both companies.
Steve Hall, CEO of Duck Creek Technologies, said: "The success of our affiliate business in the European market has demonstrated the tremendous opportunities that exist for our products there and across the globe. This closer relationship would enable us to expand and improve services and support for to our rapidly-growing European customer base. We are looking forward to working with the management team in Europe as we pursue our combined objectives.”
Harald Karlsen will assume the role of chairman of the Board of the European affiliate and Tony O'Halloran, who previously served as client services director has been appointed managing director of Duck Creek Technologies Europe.
Julian James, director of sales and marketing, has also been appointed as managing director of business development.
Tony O Halloran said: “This consolidation will strengthen the global presence of Duck Creek Technologies by streamlining the management and delivery of our products and services into the UK and European markets. Our customers will experience even greater value from their investment as a result, and all of us will benefit from an even stronger appeal in the global marketplace.”
