12% admit to calling and 11% send texts while at the wheel
A Sainsbury’ survey found 12% of drivers admitted using a non hands-free mobile phone whilst driving in the past month and 11% admitted sending text messages.
Overall, more than two-thirds of British drivers (69%) admit to having engaged in some form of potentially dangerous activity whilst driving in the previous month,
Other driving bad habits motorists admit to include eating and drinking at the wheel (43%), driving whilst feeling tired (32%) and speeding (17%).
