Alan and Thomas becomes first private firm to achieve CII status

Alan & Thomas Insurance Brokers has become what is believed to be the first privately-owned firm in Dorset to gain chartered status.

Alan & Thomas Insurance Brokers was elevated to the position by the CII after passing a stringent selection process.

Alan & Thomas managing director Julian Boughton said: “This is the industry’s gold standard for firms of insurance brokers.

“It confirms that we have satisfied rigorous qualification criteria in terms of retaining highly qualified staff who subscribe to the membership conditions of the CII.

“When you use a chartered firm, you are dealing with proven professionals. The award is made only in deserving cases.”

Alan & Thomas employs 37 staff. The firm has offices in Bournemouth, Gillingham, Dorset and Somerset.
