In a bid to take a larger slice of the market, managing agent Direct Group has announced a new property claims and administration service to its affinity and corporate partners, with a focus on the mortgage and lending arenas.
This is part of the company's goal to build itself into the largest insurance services provider to the UK financial services market, announced earlier this year.
Managing director Derek Coles said: “Provision of the full insurance solution means our clients now have access to a wider range of products and services, backed up by the quality service that they expect from the Direct Group.”
The new service will be headed up by home services manager Paul Wilkinson, whose background is in small claims management, particularly in the tenants' contents market.
Direct Group was launched in 1990 and after a management buyout in 2002, is now owned predominantly by the management team supported by Barclays Private Equity.
