The Department for Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA) has clarified that the £150m increase in flood spending is not per year, as originally thought.
It is understood that there will be a rise in spend of £150m by the end of 2005. The yearly breakdown is not yet known.
ABI demanded a rise of £145m per year. A spokesman said that any increased spending is welcomed.
