‘Appointment will help us better understand customers’ says chairman
Lloyd’s Market Association chief executive David Gittings has joined the board of technology and outsourcing provider Xchanging Insurance Services (XIS).
Gittings replaces Ewen Gilmour, who has stepped down after four-and-a-half years.
He joins David Matcham, chief executive of the International Underwriting Association, Lloyd’s general counsel Sean McGovern and Xchanging claims services board chairman Barnabas Hurst-Bannister.
XIS has also appointed Bev Stone as operations director for UK insurance, replacing Rob Myers who has been appointed global director of operations.
Stone is responsibility for all UK operations across Xchanging’s claims, insurance processing and broking services.
XIS chairman Richard Bucknall said: “We are delighted to welcome both Bev and David to the Board of XIS, and look forward to working closely with them both. David’s appointment is especially important as it will help us to better understand the expectations and ambitions of our core customer base.
“We are committed to working with the industry to provide innovative solutions, and an important part of this is ensuring we have a strong leadership who will take the business forward. Their knowledge and experience of the London market will provide us with further insight and a new perspective into its needs.”
In April Lloyd’s and Xchanging signed a three-year claims processing contract.
