Towergate has quashed reports that its chairman Peter Cullum is set to step down, saying that Cullum is in fact set to be at the helm for at least the next two years.
Marc DonFrancesco, group head of marketing, said: “Anyone who thinks that Peter is stepping down or stepping aside from the business obviously doesn’t know him – it’s sheer lunacy.
“Peter is certainly not going anywhere for the next couple of years or so and I would say the same for Andy Homer. Peter is the owner-driver of Towergate and has only two settings when approaching the business: 100% and 110%.”

Speculation over suggestions that former Aviva boss Patrick Snowball was being groomed to take over from Cullum, sooner rather than later, was also dismissed by DonFrancesco.
“Patrick is a non executive of Tower-gate Partnership, but his executive role is as chairman of Towergate Financial Services, a separate entity.”
DonFrancesco also reinforced the message that Towergate is not for sale. “Peter is not selling up or going anywhere.”
