Countrywide has appointed a number of executives to key positions.
Tom Gabriel and Stephen Burton have joined the independent broker network to head the sales teams in the North and Midlands, respectively. Gabriel has joined Countrywide from SME Insurance, while Burton has been working as a broker after a previous stint with Countrywide.
Carl Chapman has been appointed business consultant, while Bernie Leech takes over as head of regulatory affairs.
Head of Countrywide, John Dawson, commented: “As the market continues to consolidate, brokers are increasingly looking to networks to help them compete. The new initiatives we have launched this year, in particular Partner Broker, will help our members to grow and increase our influence on distribution. In order to achieve our targets and provide the best possible levels of support we have realigned our resources and increased the number of people servicing our broker customers”.
