Axa enjoyed a thrilling FA Cup Final on Saturday when millions of viewers around the world watched Liverpool snatch victory from Arsenal.
The match was screened in almost 200 countries, with an estimated global audience of 3bn. Michael Owen pulled off two goals in the last ten minutes for Liverpool at Cardiff Millennium Stadium to put Liverpool ahead 2-1.
A spokesman said: “It was one of the better FA Cup finals and was a milestone for being the first one away from Wembley.
“It has been an absolute media success and a further step in strengthening the Axa name.”
Axa paid £25m for a four-year deal, due to expire next year. Discussions on whether the contract will be renewed will take place at Christmas.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
