Price comparison site to bring power to the customers with product rating system
Price comparison site giant Comparethemarket is to launch a service allowing customers to rate products.
The July roll-out will see customers rate products on customer service, reliability of product and how easy it was to make a claim.
The first products to be reviewed by the site’s 4 million a month visitors will be home and motor insurance, with credit cards, energy firms and broadband suppliers to follow, according to The Sunday Telegraph.
Reviews will be placed alongside the price comparison and product information.
Managing director Paul Galligan said: “We are uniquely placed to do this. Firstly, because of the trust our customers place in us, with nine out of 10 customers recommending us to friends and family; and secondly, because of the independent research we carry out.”
In March Aviva became the first direct insurer to publish car and home claims service reviews from customers on its website.
