Lynas Vokes Insurance Brokers is Clear’s latest acquisition
Clear Insurance Management is acquiring Lynas Vokes Insurance Brokers, its eleventh acquisition in eight years.
Under the deal, all eight staff including directors will move to Clear. The team will continue to be led by Lynas Vokes managing director Rodney Flowers based in Spalding, Lincolnshire.
Lynas Vokes controls premiums of £3.5m and has a strong commercial and personal lines business, particularly in farming, food production and logistics.
Clear is based in New Malden, Surrey and has 60 staff, handling premiums in excess of £25m. The business has a particular strength in property owners, high net worth and professional risks.
Clear chief executive Howard Lickens said: “This is a great opportunity for us to expand into a new area. In Rodney and his team we have brokers committed to looking after their customers and developing an excellent business. So it’s business as usual for Lynas Vokes clients who will now benefit from Clear’s resources, our range of specialist services and market contacts. We intend to invest in the business and to make further selective acquisitions as part of our growth strategy.”
Rodney Flowers, managing director of Lynas Vokes, said: “We have known for some time that it would help us to compete if we were part of a larger group with greater access to insurers and products. In Clear we have joined a strong and ambitious broker which really appreciates what we have achieved and wants to help us grow.”
