Paul Chapman has been named new head of personal insurance Chubb Insurance Company of Europe
Chubb insurance company of Europe has announced the appointment of Paul Chapman to the new position of head of personal insurance. Chapman will have responsibility for Chubb's personal lines and accident and health businesses across Europe. He starts his new role on 14 May 2007.
Chapman has been with Chubb for 15 years in various management positions. Until this appointment he was worldwide underwriting manager for accident and health.
Chris Giles, chief executive of Chubb, commented: “The new role means we have one divisional manager for our products that cover employees, affinity groups and personal lines policyholders. It's a natural business fit to manage these together. We now have one senior manager directing each of our three business divisions and this reflects how we manage and report our business on a global basis.”
Chapman said: “It's a great opportunity to manage two successful parts of Chubb's European business. I've got two strong management teams to work with and our challenge is to further enhance our success. To achieve this we will continue to add resource to the two teams in the short and long term. I'm looking forward to ensuring our products are even more innovative and invaluable to our brokers and policyholders in the future.”
