Former Allianz chief executive has chaired Jelf’s broker network since November
Former Allianz commercial general manager Chris Hanks has been appointed as a non-executive director of broking group Jelf.
Hanks’ appointment comes after he was made non-executive chairman to Jelf’s broker network the Purple Partnership in November.
Since retiring from Allianz last year, the former CII president has also joined the board of insurer Liberty.
Jelf group chief executive Alex Alway said he was delighted that Hanks had joined the board. “As already witnessed with the Purple Partnership, Chris will bring a wealth of expertise and industry acumen to the board. Such attributes will be invaluable to the group as we continue our growth strategy – investing in the business, while remaining focused on providing excellent client service and delivering efficiencies,” he said.
Hanks said he had admired Jelf’s business for several years and believed he could contribute to its future growth and success.
“Since becoming chairman of Jelf’s Purple Partnership broker network last year, I have seen first-hand how the group operates. It is a forward-thinking and dynamic business, backed by a strong balance sheet and ambitious plans for growth,” he said.
