Willis employees will move to Chesham under deal
Chesham has completed its purchase of Willis’s commercial small and medium-sized enterprise book of business in the UK.
The acquisition was first revealed in June.
The insurance broker says the deal will see it become one of largest independent brokers within the Willis commercial network.
Chesham chief executive Tom Bartleet, who was formerly a director at Willis and head of its global small commercial business division, bought Chesham back in May 2012.
Bartleet said: “This deal underlines our commitment to our core business of arranging commercial insurance for mid- sized businesses.
“We will continue to offer a personalised service to local business. Our increased size and membership of the Willis Commercial Network ensures we can deliver specialist products from the world’s leading insurers.”
Willis employees will move to Chesham and continue to work with their existing clients.
