Guy Phillips joins London market fee collections business
Charles Taylor Insurance Services (CTIS) has appointed Guy Phillips as a director as it expands its Lloyd’s and London market fee collections business.
The company currently collects about £60m in expert fees worldwide each year, and will target lawyers, loss adjusters and other professionals to increase its share of the London fee collections market.
Phillips joins from Senator Insurance Services where he was operations director, responsible for business development and management of its expert fee collection business. He previously worked for Aon Broker Services where he specialised in run-off and commutations and set up a dedicated expert fee collection procedure.
Phillips said: “The key to building a successful and growing fee collection business is to combine an in-depth knowledge of the subscription market structures with a practical understanding and experience of fee collections. I am looking forward to working with the CTIS team to take its fee collection business from its current position of strength to one of market leadership.”
Charles Taylor Insurance Services director Vivienne Sullivan said: “The complex structure of the London subscription insurance market can make the collection of professional fees a long and drawn out process for many lawyers, loss adjusters and other professionals providing services to (re)insurers in this market.
“Our expert fee collection services greatly reduce the amount of time it takes professionals to collect fees, significantly improving their cashflow and reducing bad debts. Guy Phillips brings long experience of fee collections in London and will drive our business development in this valuable market. I am very pleased to welcome him to our team.”
