Underwriting agency forms strategic partnership with loss adjuster
Specialist lines underwriting agency, CFC, has formed a strategic partnership with Crawford & Company.
CFC appointed Crawford following a competitive tender process to deliver a claims administration interface for its brokers and their clients.
Andy Holmes, director at CFC said: “Crawford is the world's largest independent provider of claims management solutions and we believe this partnership will enable CFC to provide the very best claims service to both our brokers and their clients.”
He continued “A key benefit of this new arrangement is that CFC will now be able to provide a truly global claims service using the strength of Crawford's network spanning 63 countries and over 700 locations. We have broker partners and policyholders in over 20 countries and naturally they prefer their claims to be handled locally.
"Whilst we currently use a selection of expert lawyers around the world to protect our policyholders, the new partnership with Crawford will provide a polished interface, which we believe will deliver a more efficient service locally.”
The new arrangement will take over management of CFC’s existing 24/7 response service available to policyholders requiring emergency claims assistance. In addition, Crawford will hold claims funds as part of this arrangement enabling a quick settlement to policyholders as a further service enhancement.
Clive Nicholls, vice president, global markets at Crawford said: “We are delighted to partner with CFC to deliver a quality driven claims management solution through our extensive global network.
"Today, Crawford has established three operational hubs to service the needs of CFC and their policyholders and we are excited about the potential to develop more global hubs in line with CFC's growth plans and Crawford's own strategic plan for this specialised marketplace.”
