MGA aims to be leader in emerging risks in next three years
CFC Underwriting has appointed Matt Taylor as head of emerging risk.
The newly created role will be responsible for the overall development of emerging risk, including rapidly growing business lines such as cyber, emerging technology, transaction liability and intellectual property rights insurance, the specialist lines managing general agency (MGA) said.
Taylor will also take a seat on the board of directors, subject to FCA approval.
Chief executive David Walsh says: “Our business has been built upon emerging risk and we are passionate about this rapidly evolving area of insurance. Matt joining to head this up is a sign of our ambition and our commitment to the class.”
Walsh said CFC aims to become a global leader in emerging risk within the next three years.
A qualified actuary, Taylor joins CFC from Montpelier at Lloyd’s, where was active underwriter and head of non-marine.
