Software house to open new Stockport base
Insurance software house CDL is purchasing 18,210m2 of riverfront land in Stockport as part of its ambitious plans for expansion.
The site, adjacent to its current Strata House headquarters, will eventually have four additional CDL buildings, providing more than 100,000ft2 of office space. Construction work is expected to start in the first quarter of 2013.
Managing director Tom Hogg said: “CDL has maintained consistent growth on the back of innovative, robust and powerful software solutions that enable clients to increase their efficiency and profitability, and we are seeing significant activity around the fast growing telematics and mobile sectors.
“We felt the time was right to invest in the future and are delighted to have secured this deal, which will allow us to expand the company further on our existing site, with no relocation of staff and maximum business continuity.”
CDL currently employs more than 400 staff and said it anticipates a further 150 IT jobs will be created by 2015.
