Capita McLarens, the loss adjusting division of Capita Insurance Services has announced the launch of its Complex and Major Loss Division.

The new division will provide resources for the handling of large property, business interruption and complex liability work.

The division, which employs 85 senior adjusters together with forensic accountants, engineers and surveyors, will operate from regional centres in London, Bristol, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds and Glasgow.

Alastair Whiteside, who heads up the division, commented: "McLarens were always one of the market leaders in complex and major losses and with the additional resources now available as part of Capita Plc we are
able to devote some of our most experienced adjusters solely to this important market sector.

"The aim is to provide an end-to-end service through the use of in-house resources which will not only speed up the decision making process but also enable us to deliver cost savings to clients by providing total claims management solutions.

"Capita McLarens view this market as vital with potential for growth and we intend to expand and improve our service offering wherever this will be of benefit to our clients. We are always considering new ideas and nothing is off-limits."
