Withers.net has signed a contract with Capita Insurance Services to provide access to a national network of subsidence solutions providers.
Withers.net, a network of independent regional subsidence specialists, provides administration and claims management support via a central hub office in Newcastle.
Under the deal, Capita will have 24-hour access to password-protected job files, which Withers.net said would allow it to monitor claims progress and assess service delivery. It said the ultimate aim of the service was to let homeowners monitor the progress of their own claims.
Capita director of building services, Tony Boobier, said: “This is an important development in the subsidence industry at a critical time. It harnesses the flexibility of medium-sized firms into a single national enterprise, without compromising compliance issues.
“It also meets recent government guidelines for the use of SMEs in industry. I expect Withers.net to be an important business partner for us.”
